Let’s celebrate the darkest day of the year!
Join friends, family, and neighbors for a touching ceremony of light, remembrance, and renewal to honor the legacy and memories of loved ones who are no longer with us. At sunset, we’ll walk along a path illuminated by 100 luminaries, share warm drinks, and gather around an outdoor fire to welcome the longest night of the year. Together, we’ll release the old, plant seeds of new intention, and call the light back into our hearts and the Earth.
Ceremony begins promptly at 5:45 PM. Please arrive at 5:00pm to park, set intentions, and settle in before we begin around the sacred fire. This is a free community event. To reserve your place in the celebration, please RSVP here.
Check back closer to end of October to learn more about the ceremony and what to bring for this special occassion.
Volunteers are needed! Sign up to hold space, manage tables, or assist with setup and cleanup. Volunteer inquires can be directed to Deanna - deanna@pennforestcemetery.com
Let’s gather in warmth, gratitude, and renewal as we welcome the light’s return.
